Siva is power of God(Shakti), will power of god, command of God. In Gurbani, Siv is treated as God, and his Sakat(i) is named as Shiva by Guru Gobind Singh. Shiva is equivalent to Chandi i.e Gurmat.

Gurbani said

  • ਸਿਵ, ਸਕਤਿ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਇ ਕੈ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪੇ ਹ੝ਕਮ੝ ਵਰਤਾਝ : Means Siv = God = Karta himself give birth to Sakti = Hukam = Siva.
  • ਗ੝ਰਮ੝ਖਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਭਲੀ ਸਿਵ ਨੀਕੀ ਆਨਿ ਪਾਨੀ ਸਕਤਿ ਭਰੀਜੈ : Gurmukh is itself Jyot of Siv = God, and Sakti = Command = Siva, always favours him.
