Setaj (ਸੇਤਜ s ) is a Gurmukhi word used in the Guru Granth Sahib that refers to the form of birth which is from bodily secretion, involves heat or "Sweat" - ਪਸੀਨੇ/ਮੜਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਝ ਜੀਵ (ਜੂਆਂ ਆਦਿਕ). Setaj is normally found with 3 other Gurmukhi words which together explain the four forms of births recognised by the Sikh faith. The others are: Andaj (ਅੰਡਜ); Jeraj or (ਜੇਰਜ) and Utbhuj or (ਉਤਭਜ).
