Born at Hattian Duppata area of Muzaffarabad(now in Pakistan), Sant Singh Tegh Was associated with National Conference,Akali Dal and Janta Party at different stages of his political carrier.
He was also the member of steering committee of People's Convention convened by Jenab Sheikh Abdullah in 1968.He Was also the general secretary of Gurdwara Chatti Patshahi,Kathi Darwaja,Rainwari,Srinagar in 1945.
