Pelia or | Pelia (ਪੈਲੀਆ) caste also known as Pal, Pellia, Peliah or Palia is a clan in labana/lohana. They are derived from Braham Kshatriyas means they are the upper caste according to the indian caste system . They are the rulers of Pal dynasty ( Pal Vansh ) Most of them are baptised sikhs at present times. Baba Makhan Shah Lobana was a great merchant from Pelia caste. some of them were great merchants/ traders until late 18th century. Pelias are known as jewish of punjab because of their wealth.
