Kaal in Dasam Granth

Kaal is qualitative aspect of Nirankar which means the destroyer which is used in Dasam Granth at various places.
In Commencement of Chaubis Avtar, Guru Gobind Singh gave the reason why Akaal is called Kaal:
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
ਅੰਤਿ ਕਰਤ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਕੋ ਕਾਲਾ ॥
ਨਾਮੁ ਕਾਲ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਜਗ ਡਾਲਾ ॥
चौपई ॥
अंति करत सभ जग को काला ॥
नामु काल ता ते जग डाला ॥
Chaupai
At time Thou destroyest the universe;
Therefore the world hath named you KAL (the Destroyer Lord);
In Sabad Patshahi 10, Kaal is also called Kartar which is qualitative aspect of Karta Purakh.
