GURDWARA CHOHLA SAHIB, CHOHLA, village 4.5 km southeast of Sirhali Kalari (31° 16'N, 74° 56'E) in Amritsar district of the Punjab, is sacred to Guru Arjan (1563 - 1606). in the interior of the village marks the site of the house where Guru Arjan and his wife, Mata Ganga, had stayed. It is also known as Mata Ganga Ji da Asthan. The present building, raised during the 1980's, comprises a square hall in front of the domed sanctum topped by a goldplated pinnacle. Here, too, is an old well that local tradition connects with Guru Arjan's time.
