Gurdwara Rajghat

Gurdwara Rajghat Sangat Pahili Pathshai is located in Burhanpur, an old walled town in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. Located on the banks of the Tapti River, the Gurdwara is four kilometres from Burhanpur railway station on the Delhi-Itarsi-Bombay line.

Both Guru Nanak Dev and Guru Gobind Singh visited Burhanpur. One of Bhai Gurdas's Vars points to the existence of a Sikh Sangat in early seventeenth century Burhanpur.

During the eighteenth century, Hathi Singh, the son of Mata Sundari's adopted son Ajit Singh lived here.

There is a second historic Gurdwaras at Burhanpur, as well. The one room Gurdwara, also located along the river is dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev. It is looked after by a Nihang Singh who lives in a similar room close by.
