Gurdwara Karamsar, Ilford, Essex

This Gurdwara is located on the High Road between Ilford and Seven Kings Main line railway Stations. The building was originally used as a Labour Party Community Hall and was converted into a Temple during 1990’s. The original building has just 1 floor - The ground floor houses the Darbar Hall, Langar Hall, Kitchen, Offices, Washroom facilities, Shoe Rooms. The Darbar Hall could hold about 500 worshippers.

PARKING: There is a small car park which can hold about 5-10 cars. Parking for about 50 cars is available on the streets surrounding the Gurdwara. Do not park on yellow lines as the wardens are very active in this area.

During 1998, the old building was demolished and a modern 3 storey building is nearing completion. As can be seen from the photos, this Gurdwara is now nearly completed and the first programme was held over Vaisakhi 2005. Final completion is expected by the end of May 2005.
