Gurdwara Joga Singh at Peshawar was founded by Hari Singh Nalwa, the general of Maharaja Ranjit Singh's army. This gurudwara was shut down in 1947.
Then, in 1980, the Pakistan government gave permission to Sikhs to start it again. It only took the Sikhs three days to clean up 33 years of neglect and misuse.
