The 300-year-old Dera Baba Banda Bahadur has a historic Gurdwara which has the samadhi of Banda Bahadur. It is situated at Reasi District approx. 75 km from Jammu city of Jammu and Kashmir state . Besides the ashes of Banda Bahadur, it has an arrow given to him by Guru Gobind Singh and other weapons, including a huge sword.

All these belongings are displayed every year on Vaisakhi.

Every year an average of 30,000 devotees throng the mela a on Baisakhi day from northern India. The dera is run by mahant of the dera S. Jatinder Pal Singh. The spot has become a pilgrim destination and a tourist place.


Dera Baha Banda Behadur

This place is a shrine of Baba Banda Bahadur, a famous Commander of Shri Guru Gobind Singh. It is situated on the bank of river Chenab near about 20 km away from Reasi. Thousands of devotees all over the State and neighboring States visits this holy Shrine Dera Baba Banda Bahadur throughout the year and especially on the occassion of Baishakhi, when a three day mela is also held here during the month of April. Number of Buses and other light vehicles are available from Reasi and Katra for this place
