Most Preferable is to marry with a Sikh but there is no any Strict restriction.

Example:
If girl comes from Hindu Background and is an idol worshipper on other Side Sikh Man is against Idol worshipping and against Avtarvada. Either he have to make that girl understand that what she is following is not logical and upto mark or girl will make him understand that God resides in Idol and God taken form of Human. This is difference in thought.

If a Boy belong to Hindu background and a Sikh Girl, who studied under Sikh parents, if get marry with a Boy who is non sikh then she have to walk along with the path her husband is following, whether against Sikhism. A Religious councisous couple either have to come to common conditions to survive their marriage(TruthFake Mixmatch) or have to neglect religious views of each other, and say you go your own way(Thought Mismatch). The impact will be seen on kids later on, which will have hybrid thought, during their development.

Even such marriages go to divorce if thought of some religion is forcibly put on girl or boy.

Keeping this in mind in many Sikh Rehitnamas this is mentiond that Sikh should marry with Sikh only. Many Sikh family prefer this to marry in sikhs as girl or boy will have same thoughts about religion, will understand each other properly will not live their life with unnecessary Interfaith and ruin kid's life by giving them mix faith views.

Common Thoughts are doing Good deeds, don't do evil deed, think good of all is almost in all religions but religion is not only this.
