Bhavani' means Parbati/Mahamaya/Durga/Uma acc. to Hindu mythology.

Bhavani in Guru Granth Sahib

Bhagat Namdev also pointed Pundit's Bhavani with wordings ਤੂ ਕਹੀਅਤ ਹੀ ਆਦਿ ਭਵਾਨੀ ॥ ਮ੝ਕਤਿ ਕੀ ਬਰੀਆ ਕਹਾ ਛਪਾਨੀ ॥੪॥ which itself means he is taunting Parbati that you call youself Bhavani but while giving liberation you hide yourself. Namdev said Hindu Priest(Pundit) that his own Geeta talks of Raam name only. ਗ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗਹ੝ ਮੀਤਾ ॥ ਪ੝ਰਣਵੈ ਨਾਮਾ ਇਉ ਕਹੈ ਗੀਤਾ ॥੫॥੨॥੬॥ . The Statements itself says that Bhavani have wrong meaning in Hindu Priest's dictionary.

Bhavani in Dasam Granth

Guru Gobind Singh changed the defination of Bhavani in Chobis Avtar. The creater of Universe is called Bhavani. Acc. to hindus, Brahma is creator of universe and Bhavani is wife of Shiv. But Guru Gobind Singh's own view about Bhavani is seperate read following lines:

"ਪ੝ਰਿਥਮ ਕਾਲ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਕੋ ਤਾਤਾ। ਤਾਂਤੇ ਭਯੋ ਤੇਜ ਵਿਖ੝ਯਾਤਾ।
ਸੋਈ ਭਵਾਨੀ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਾਈ। ਜਿਨ ਸਗਰੀ ਇਹ ਸ੝ਰਿਸਟਿ ਬਨਾਈ।"।
