When Bhai Bahadur Singh ji came to the village which is now called Khari Dharamsal and , it was densjy forested With the passage of time he could recover some land area for cultivation .It is said that this place spread the message of peace in the adjoining areas and people started coming to the area.

People migrated from Rawalwandi, Tehsil Bagh,Jheera, Kothian,Tehsil Sadnuti, Chakar (Muzzafarabad) etc. Due to atorocities committed on them by the Nawabs and is said that the Nawabs used to keep the new bride for the first night and used to give Rs 5/- and a sheep on the departure of Doli.
People migrated from Rawalwandi, Tehsil Bagh,Jheera, Kothian,Tehsil Sadnuti, Chakar (Muzzafarabad),Narkanayah  etc. Due to atorocities committed on them by the Nawabs and is said that the Nawabs used to keep the new bride for the first night and used to give Rs 5/- and a sheep on the departure of Doli.
This resulted into the migration of of people from those areas and settled in the village Khari Dharamsal.They were given land by Bhai Bahadur Singh ji and in return were asked to give a small portion of crops after harvest which was used in community kitchen (Langar). This portion of land was commonly known as "BHOLI".

There were large no of dacoits in the area but it is said that whenever dacoits would come in the area they could hardly see anything and become blind due to the spritual powers of Bhai Bahadur Singh ji.

Bhai Bahadur Singh ji was the son of S. Mota Singh ji,who was the younger brother of Sant Bhai Rocha Singh ji.


Bhai Bahadur Singh ji early in his youth had inclination towards the religious gatherings, company of saints etc. With the passage of time the art of weaponary ,his built up and charistmatic perosonality used to mesmerize the people around.The company of Sant Bhai Rocha Singh ji had developed good qualities in Bhai Bahadur Singh ji. Whenever Sant Bhai Rocha Singh ji used to travel from one place to another for preaching Sikhism
