Baba Biram Shah Dutt was born in Kanjrur/Kanjlur village in district Gurdaspur in the house of Pandit Kelo Ram Dutt. He was very religious from his childhood and became a Sikh of 6th master Guru Hargobind. He moved to Amritsar in Guru Hargobind’s court and devoted all his time in the service of Langar. Guru Hargobind became very happy with his service and offered him “Manji” of Mirpur area of hills and asked him to spread the word of Guru Nanak.
