The Tamber surname is part of the Saini caste which dominates many villages across Hoshiarpur, Nawansher, Jalandhar and Gurdaspur. Their occupation is mostly farming and agriculture and hold a strong position in the society they live in. Many of these communities have become successful, especially from their hard work they contribute in society, and many of these Saini community are NRIs.
