my middle name is allen it has been passed for many generations down the fathers side of family , who came from england hundreds of years ago. The Alans who crossed the channel and also split to head south into spain and crossed at Jabal Tĝriq (جبل طارق) over to the Atlas mtns. and Morrocco (where they put up a @#*@# good fight against Islams' invasion, have always been of great interest to me - all have seemed to be mountain men who took to the high grounds.
