In the year 1589, Guru Arjan Dev Ji, who was the fifth Guru of the Sikhs from 1581-1606, Guru Sahib was betrothed to Mata Ganga Ji, the daughter of Bhai Kishan Chand Khatri a very devout Sikh follower of Guru Sahib. Couple of years before Guru Sahib was married, but she died childless, Guru Sahib did not agree to marry another, It was Bibi Bhani Ji, and Baba Buddha Ji and other Gursikhs, who persuaded Guru Sahib to remarry once more In the same village of Mau, where his fist wife was from. Guru Sahib agreed.

Guru Sahib, and the baraat which started from Goindwal Sahib, along with Guru sahib's Baraati's were Baba Buddha Ji, Bhai Gurdas Ji, Bhai Manjh Ji, Bhai Shalo Ji, Mian Mir Ji, Baba Sang Ji, and other Sikhs and Sadhu's. Prithi Chand eldest brother did not attend because of his jealousy. Guru Sahib, on his way from village to village, preached to the Sikh Sangats, while passing through villages of Malri, Sarih, Bhangalaa, Shankar, Bilga, and many more villages, all of these are In Jalandhar District of Punjab, located In the ancient Manjke area of Punjab present day Jalandhar District. Guru Sahib called Baba Sang Ji of village Sang Dhesian, In tehsil Phillaur to join his baraat. When Guru Sahib reached Bilga, which was then a settlement of only seven handful mud or hut built houses, he was received warmly by the seven Sanghera Jatt Sikh brothers of the village.

They served Guru Sahib with respect, Guru Sahib was pleased at the devotion of his Sikh sangat, that he presented them his own belongings which were Seli Topi, Dushalla, Mala, Pajama, Wallet, a Peach colored Chola and a Peera, on which Guru Sahib did ishnaan, which are preserved even today by the villagers at Gurdwara Patshahi Panvin (Bilga) Guru Sahib blessed that the village would grow from being small, The village grew and has 7 Patis 7 street areas and It's population also grew rapidly over the centuries. After staying at Bilga for two days, Guru sahib and the baraat moved to the next village the final destination, where Guru Sahib was to get married to Mata Ganga Ji, village of Mau next to Bilga, Mau was a big village at that time. The Anand Karaj of Guru Sahib took place with Mata Ganga Ji, and the respected Baba Buddha Ji performed the Laavan, from Raag Suhi witten by the fourth Guru of the Sikhs father of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the Guru Ram Das Ji, Sodhi Sultan from 1574-1581.
