Sadarji, Welcome to Sikhiwiki, as I see you have added a link to your comment on a blog and as this wiki is aimed at those Sikhs and others who speak primarily english: Could you translate the (Panjabi) in that posting concerning Sardarji jokes. “Ye duniya jahan kuch badalne ki chahat mein insaan khud badal jaata hai, Ye duniya jahan 'Aadarsh vaad' ek 'Abhishap' ban aapko nigal jaata hai, Ye duniya agar mil bhi jaaye to kya hai.“ Thanks Allenwalla 09:26, 28 August 2009 (UTC) After the second world war Japan and China lay in ruin, one man saw the need for small motor cycles and started a business in his garage, his business Honda has since grown to be a very respected and successful worldwide corporation. In my youth growing up in America, the labels - Made in China, Made in Japan and Made in Taiwan became standard jokes here in the states, but the Japanese, Chinese and Taiwanese have turned the corner (I expect they were well aware of the jokes over the quality of their products and paying little if any time complaining of about their being the butt of so many jokes (the old asian adage of riding the horse in the direction of the stream) they got to work, improved their products and all are now having, perhaps the last laugh - privately. The savings of millions of Chinese and the dollars that paid for all the products in our driveways and homes are today buying the US bonds, properties in America and paying for investments all over Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Mianmar. We have the largest deficit we have ever faced. Students in America have little respect for their teachers and many have come to expect entitlements, just deserving things because they were given everything they desired by parents who were to busy working to teach their children respect. I because of my age am greeted as Sir by Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims younger than me. If a kid of european decent addresses me as Sir I ask what part of the armed forces they served in. Only our military still teaches respect. Asian products are now well respected, excepting the lead problems in children's toys and other products that have now come to roost in the villages were practically every child and adult are dying of cancer (lead smelting plants). Many Sikhs have had great success all over the world; Doctors, Engineers, Scientists, going into politics, ect. China, Taiwan, India (I have forgotten Koreans) are producing every thing in the homes around the world. Here no one has heard of Sardarji jokes. Excuse my rambling, if you ever look on this site again please translate your thoughts in the blog you linked to. The best place to put your thoughts on the subject, rather than adding a link to a blog, would be on the discussion page on the articles.
