Dear Desi84,

Thank you for your valuable contributions to SikhiWiki. I hope you will continue to enhance the articles so that the beautiful message of the Gurus reaches many thousands of souls throughout the world.

However, I wish to bring one small but very important point to your attention and ask humbly for your kind co-operation. I accept that our Gurus deserve a lot of respect because of the huge service they have done to us in bring the Lords message to us in a simple and precise way. But we can never repay this debt by just adding more and more titles to their beautiful names. Guru Gobind Singh has a massive persona. By adding "Sri" to "Guru Gobind Singh" does not in my opinion add much to the great personality; nor does Maharaj Sri Guru Gobind Singh choji preetam. Also, just saying "Nanak" brings great emotions to my mind for the wonderful Bani that we have been endowed with. Please keep the names simple. Stick to the convention and precedence already set.

Also, when we start adding to the simple name, it becomes harder for searches to work properly; the hyper-linking becomes difficult, etc, etc. Some will write Guru Nanak, others Sri Guru Nanak or Sri Guru Nanak Dev or even Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji and to cap it all - Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji maharaj. The search facility will just not work! and hyper-linking will be impossible.

I am sorry to be a hard rock so early on your smooth journey towards spirituality but please, I would appreciate if you will give consideration to position. Thanking you, das, Hari Singhtalk 23:36, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
