Bhai Sahib ji, Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh

You said on the article Mool Mantar:

"Mool mantar is upto 'Nanak hosi bhi sach' because this Mool mantar is only once applied in the beginning but the manglaachran mantra upto 'saibhng Gurparsad' is applied 33 times in Sri Guru Granth sahib ji hence it can not be called the Mool Mantar."

I am most grateful to you for this addition however, I have come across the term Maha Mantar used to refer to the longer version and Mool Mantar used for the shorter version. To me this makes sense as you would expect the "Mool Mantar" to be repeated as it is the "Root or Main mantar" while the longer version may not be repeated.

I wonder if you could explain why you feel that the reverse is true and that the Mool Mantar is the longer version which only appears once but is called the "Mool Mantar"?

I look forward to your reply as I may be missing some point here. Many thanks and kind regards, Hari Singhtalk 23:36, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
