WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

The Sikh Society at the University of Kent in Canterbury is a place for everyone to come together and share their knowledge and experience of Sikhism and for us to learn more about what Sikhi is and what being a Sikh actually means! We aim to create a forum where people can openly discuss different religious and social issues, free from judgement and discrimination.

Throughout the academic year we look to hold a variety of different events, such as;

-Guest speakers

-Meditation (Simran) sessions

-Gurdwara trips

-Movie nights

-Samosa Socials

-Ice Skating trips and much much more!

So far, our Simran and Kirtan sessions have been a huge success, and we look to have even bigger and better ones in the future!

Our committee this year is made up of 5 members who consist of the President, Vice President, Public Relations Officer, Secretary and Treasurer.

We welcome people of all different faiths to come and share their views. Our society doesn’t aim to preach to its members, but to learn from them and take suggestions for new ideas and events! Any ideas can be sent to [email protected].

For more details on how to join this society, please visit the facebook group: UKC Sikh Soc Facebook Page

Hope to see you take an active part in our events this year!
