Turbanology
"Turbanology" is a project started by filmmaker and journalist Jay Singh-Sohal.
It is about raising awareness of the Sikh Turban.
The first production - "Turbanology: After 7/7" deals with the mistaken identity of Sikhs and lack of awareness which has led some to connect the turban with terrorism. The programme was aired on British television, licensed to police forces and local councils. It is available from amazon.co.uk
The second production - "Turbanology: Sikhs Unwrapped" is a touring art exhibition aimed at increasing knowledge of the turban to non-Sikhs.
