what's this?

"Roudh" in Punjabi means "bald". Someone needs to quote a site showing this link to Rhode Island as I have not come across this!!!!! Hari Singhtalk 23:43, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Re. Isle of Rhodes vs Rhode Island

Unable able to sleep tonight, I found an old book on the net [1]. It seems that Isle of Rhodes (Greece) was involved with the invasion of Cyrus and Alexander's invasion that eventually to India. Many attribute the light colored eyes and skin in the Taxila area (as seen in photos of children of the IDP camps currently around Lahore) to his invasion. You know the history of this I'm sure. Many explain the light skin and blue heavenly eyes of many Jatts and Katris (we the racists/main page) in this way. Though Krsna means dark he is usually pictured in blue.

If Rhode Island is meant it wasn't founded until Roger Williams got fed up with the Puritans and founded Rhode Island in 1644. He was a great believer in separation of church and state and religious tolerance.

Last year "Golf Digest" Magazine used a well known portrayal of Guru Arjan Dev Ji to depict a Golfing Guru, replete with one white glove, the artist was completely unaware that the image from Google images? would upset anyone, perhaps you remember the story on Sikh Net. Today it seems that the Hindus have suffered the same as Burger King has used a picture of Lakshmi to promote a meat sandwich in Spain with the tag line--This “Snack is sacred”. I guess they would get the point if an imaged image of Jesus was used to promote a jeep. Opps, something like that was already done.

Interestingly there was a video today, which I passed that pointed out that both Hindus and Muslims (no mention of Sikhs, probably because of Hola Mohalla) celebrated Holi in Rajouri, as someone, painted black, portraying Khrisna ran around wacking people for good fortune.

Did you get to look into the Singh Vir Khakra from Rajouri? Perhaps Sarbjeet ji would know of this?
