I know its the writer's words but is calling the Granth a book kosher?

As it said the Dasam Granth 1,400 pages long and called it And a Sanskrit tome? Howmuch is in sanskrit? Anyway I changed it to read Guru Granth Saheb. Surely the US Sikhs haven't started calling the Granth the Dasam Granth.
