If one cannot depict the Sikh Gurus or their family in films how could their martyrdom be depicted?

Why is it O.K. to paint or draw pictures of them if actors cannot act as them?

Mohamet allowed no images of himself as to preclude his followers, as followers are oft wont to do, worship him. i have read that the Gurus allowed no portraits for the same reason that they feared people might come to worship them -- the pictures of the Gurus, color me confused.

Mohamet also allowed no sculpture for he thought one was competing with Allah and that on judgement day the sculptor would be asked to breath life into the sculpture and with his/her failing to do so would be sent to jahannum. Seems as if one is Gods creation then any image you could paint or sculpt would be because of God giving you that talent. Jesus and God (sometimes as a human actors and sometimes as a burning bush or invisible nirguna or intangible essence are depicted in the west and no one sees that as disrespectful.

I see Mohamet's choice as related to the old shamanistict stuff of arabe where Muslims end up with 16 names so, like the Egyptian Gods, you would have no power over one if you do not know his 'real' name. Hense all the faces scratched out on Egyptian art and shias beating blood out of their bodies morning over Hussein as did the egyptians long ago when some one died-only they used red colored paint or mud.
