The impression that the Guru had more than one wife was created by those writers who were ignorant of Punjabi culture. Later authors accepted those writings indicating more than one marriage of the Guru and believed that having more than one wife was a privileged or royal act.

1) Santokh Singh was not Ignorant Writer. His history is preached and base of whole writings. How could you say that Ignorants of punjabi culture

2) That time may persons have more than one wives even kings rulers have more then one wives. aren't they ignorant who write such things? They are just kicking out all the historical sources of sikhism. tomarrow they will say that guru hargobind have only one son then what will we do?

Wrong Impression

Some ignorants say that if their gurus will have more then one wife then it's wrong impression of GURU. and this shows how they are emotionally attached to gurus so they make gurus as they want. Society impact is forcig such scholars to take such decisions. For me my guru if have 3 wives i have no problem. No where in guru Granth Sahib is written that you cannot have more than one wives.

After the marriage, there is a custom in the Panjab of giving a new affectionate name to the bride by her inlaws.

One more fool's quote. Bibi Amri was called amro when she went o inlaws and nanki was nanki remained and so other matas were. may be they will say in future that NANAki was not her name r whatever.

As Guru Gobind Singh ji is the spiritual but not the biological father of the Khalsa, Mata Sahib Devan ji is the spiritual mother of the Khalsa, Mata Sahib Devan is the spiritual mother of the Khalsa but not the wife of Guru Gobind Singh'

This is disgrace to Mata Sunder kaur right? Why isn't she then spiritual mother of khalsa? Who was Sahib kaur, what wa sshe doing with Guru gobind singh ji

Khalsa Ji, let's not try to change the Guru Itihaas

Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ki fateh Ji

Khalsa Ji let's not try to change the history. Why are we trying to prove that Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj had one wife? Just read "Suraj Prakash" Granth which is considered to be most authentic historical Granth for Guru sahib' history. It says that Maharaj had three wives. And there is nothing wrong in it because it was not out of lust (the whole world knows that Guru sahib was away from Kaam, Krodh, lobh, moh, ahankaar). But it was due to the prayers of the bhagats who demand marriage with God whenever they have Avtar on earth. Just to fulfil their prayers, guru sahib gets married to them (who r also away from lust).

Today, we r trying to prove tht Guru Gobind Singh Ji had one wife, tomorrow will try to prove the same for Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji n Guru Harrai Sahib Ji as well?

Just have full faith in Guru sahib tht whatever He has done is good n try to follow his hukams. You can't compare ur life wid God's avtaar but u can only follow his hukam.

" Gur Kaheya sa kaar kamavaho || Gur ki karni kaahe dhavho || " (Ang 929) That do the things what Guru sahib has ordained, don't try to judge his actions (because our mind is small, He is very huge).

Let's be true Sikhs n hv full faith in Guru sahib.
