Once when the muslims of Palestine were prevented from visiting the Haj in Makkah mosques were built in Jerusalem and the people were told that doing their pilgrimage there would be just as good. Today they are no 3 of Muslim holy sites, yet my muslim friends of India had never heard of the Masjids at Jeruslem. How different the endings of the two similar events.
