Thanks for the new picture i knew of the Ganga's long trip from the ice cave above Harwar to the Sundarbands but had no idea that India has a second river that does as the Amazon does——start in the west and flow east and northward across the whole country.Allenwalla 11:20, 24 October 2007 (EDT)

I think you were right about the bridges on the other picture - glad you like the new picture. It amazing that this river starts about 80km from the west coast and flows for nearly 1500kms to the east coast - the contour of the country must be very unusual! Must have huge mountains near the east coast. It's a bit like the Amazon but this flows roughly south-east while as you say the Amazon flow roughly north-east. Hari Singh 19:36, 24 October 2007 (EDT)
