Talk:Control your anger

Fight or flight is prevalent in animals - come between a mother tiger, bear, ect and her children step on a lion's tail or pull an elephant's tail and see what happens. Once Walter Perkins

While and animal may not act on vengence or vendetta, fight or flight is prevalent, often animals have gnawed their leg off to escape a trap. The whole concept of the word Guru is about dropping animalistic behavior and ending anger, ect.

While a wolf caught in a steel trap will gnaw its leg off (is it angry?) (is it Mad?) get close to it and see (these really are only words we have invented). The mountain climber caught between a stone wall and a boulder that shifted, probably acted in the same way that the wolf would. He however once he put his anger aside, he instead of chewing his arm off was able to rationally consider alternatives and realize that he either had to cut his arm off or die.

And how about the elephant who had its tail pulled http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4Efv7IT28E&NR=1&feature=fvwp

Man can hopefully rise above anger. However the recent events in Pakistan where someone started two rumors that (a Qur'anic verse on a calendar was crumpled and tossed in the trash) and (a Christian had crumpled pages from the Qur'an) resulted in many deaths with people being set on fire. Neither rumor was true.

There are events buried in many peoples mind's, personal evens or long fertering anger, that can be triggered before one can think. Jarnail Singh probably never thought that he might throw a shoe - His mother, thanked the Congress leader for forgiving her son.

‘Atpata sa laga…. galat hi tha. Humne kaha, beta aage se mat karna. Agar gussa bhi hai, toh baat karo (We were shocked…. it was wrong. We told him not to do it again and if you have anger, talk it out),’ Jarnail Singh’s mother told reporters outside her home in the capital.

‘We are thankful (to Chidambaram) for forgiving him.’ As two security men led Jarnail Singh away from the press conference at the AICC office, Chidambaram was heard telling them, ‘It’s all right. Let him be. Nothing has happened.’

We can strive to control anger, what we do after it is released is what makes us different from animals Allenwalla 07:14, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
