Did not see that Pro Patria Mori was in his thoughts as well 'til reading this article, see comment other article.

always wondered about the hair and knot in the photo and the lack of a turban. Only in that photo and a recent photo in the news of a Groom who had his turban pulled off (as his family had at the last minute demanded a large dowery from the family of the wife to be) had i seen that there was a common way the kesh was handled.

In the story several Sikhs had taken pleasure in seeing him humiliated citing his greed, one had however called them to task.

Only knew of the 'knot of hair", forget the name, in the drawing for the Martyr who was cut to pieces. i forget his name, but i remember thinking as i came across the page, "in all of India the only men who are going around with the hairstyle of Vishnu and Rama, etc. are the Sikhs and no one knows of this, save Sikhs, because of the turban.

I had always just assumed a Sikh's hair was just twirled and pinned under the turban.Allenwalla 01:22, 15 May 2008 (MDT)

The one who was cut to pieces was Bhai Mani Singh. Sunnybondsinghjalwehra 08:47, 15 May 2008 (MDT)
