Sardar Amir Singh

Sardar Amir Singh, was a Waraich Jatt, of village Gujranwala, Not that much is known about Amir Singh's earlier life, or when he died. When Sardar Charat Singh Sukerchakia (d. 1770), with a Sikh force Occupied large parts of the present day Gujranwala District, in the Sandal bar region, in 1752, in 1756, the old but still powerful Sikh Sardar known as Amir Singh, of Gujranwala, arranged the marriage of his daughter, Mai Desan, to Charat Singh Sukerchakia. Who later gave birth to Mahan Singh Sukerchakia (d. 1792), the father of Sher-e-Panjab Maharajah Ranjit Singh (1780-1839).

Sardar Amir Singh had two sons who were Gurbakhsh Singh and Dal Singh, who later helped their Sister Mai Desan in the administration of Sukerchakia Misl.
