Roma Kaur, the global mouthpiece for Sikh women


Deeply concerned with the problems often faced by women around the world, particularly Sikh women, Roma Kaur, has chosen to become the voice of women through her literary works.

A graduate of Punjab University and post graduate in French from Rajasthan University, She also taught French and English.

After settling down in Canada, she has worked with a mainstream multicultural TV station and produced regular TV shows.

She worked very closely with the Punjabi community in different countries to understand their feelings and problems.

Roma feels women around the globe need a mouthpiece to express themselves and in this regard she started the “Kaurs” in November 2004. This first magazine of its kind on the Punjabi Diaspora, has provided to be quite beneficial.

Kaur also been actively involved with the Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle since 1994
