Rarighar

Rarighar- A Rarighar is the term used for children resulting from the rapes of Hindu women in an attempt to Muslimize the Hindus of India. As both the children and often the mothers were cast out of their families and varnas the rarighars were easily converted to Islam.
Apparently the term is only used when the birth resulted from a rape as otherwise several of the Mughal Emperors who were born of Hindu mothers would have been called Rarighars.
