Misrepresenting Guru Nanak?

Guru Nanak did not say these words!

Bhajan of Guru Nanak Sung by Guru Maharaji's Student

This video on youTube purports to be a shabad by Guru Nanak the founder of Sikhism. The last line of the shabad reads "says Nanak listen seekers of the lord in this world no one is yours". Having searched the Guru Granth Sahib thoroughly, nowhere can the shabad be found.

Examining the other lines, it seems that this is a fabrication made to look like Gurbani. The lines of the bhajan are faulty copies in part of Gurbani but the message is completely distorted. The full text of the bhanjan is copied below:

  • Suniran Karley

Breathe now the lords name
your time has passed without the lord name

bird without wings,
elephant without teeth
woman without man
an offspring of an unknown father
so is a human without the lords name.

Body without eyes
night without moon
earth without sky
as a priest is without the scriptures
so is a human without the lords name.

Well without water,
cow without milk
temple without lamp
as trees without fruits
so is a human without the lords name.

Disown desire anger pride and greed
abandon illusion approach perfect master
Says Nanak listen seekers of the lord in this world no one is yours.
