Karma yoga (also known as Buddhi Yoga) or the "discipline of action" is based on the teachings of Gurus and Guru Granth Sahib too. Karma Yoga basically consists of selfless service, without reward, in which the ego is given up to the desire to serve God in everything. Sikhs perform this daily through the free community kitchen which offers food (and shelter if required) to anyone and everyone regardless of their background.

It states that one can experience salvation (Moksha) or love (bhakti) of God by performing their duties in an unselfish manner for the pleasure of the Supreme, which is the welfare of the world.
