Kamadhenu in Sikh Religion

Kamadhenu (Pa: ਕਾਮਧੇਨੁ) is a spiritual term used eight times in the Guru Granth Sahib. The literal meaning of Kamadhenu is "Wish Fulfilling Cow".

In Sikh Religion, Kamadhenu is an anthropomorphic name for Naam or Hukam. As per Gurmat ideology, "Sabe Iccha Puriya Je Paya Agamm Apaaro", which means "fulfiller of all wishes is Almighty itself". So Kaamdhenu is one of the qualitative aspects of the Supreme Command.

In Hinduism, Kamadhenu (Sanskrit: कामधेनु) is a divine bovine-goddess described as the mother of all cows. It is also called as Surabhi (ਸੁਰਭੀ). She is a miraculous "cow of plenty" who provides her owner whatever he desires and is often portrayed as the mother of other cattle as well as the eleven Rudras. In iconography, she is generally depicted as a white cow with a female head and breasts, the wings of a bird, and the tail of a peafowl or as a white cow containing various deities within her body.
