Gurudwara Sahib Patshahi Nauvin

Gurudwara Sahib Patshahi Nauvin, in the village of Barha was built in memory of a long visit to the area by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji who, along with several devotees, came to the village Barhe from Kot Dharmu during his travels in the Malwa region. Here Guruji stopped to take a rest on the bank of a pond and extended his stay in the village for the whole of the rainy season, of four months. During his stay in the village, the villagers told him about the acute shortage of rainwater which severely affecting their crops.

Guruji advised the villagers to shift the village towards the east. They took the Guru's advise and it so happened that the rain came at its best in their new location. The Villagers, due to the blessings of Guruji, got a good crop. After blessing the village Barhe, Guruji moved on to Budhlada and then to Gobindpura.
