Eggetarian

we heard about concept called vegetarians & Non vegetarians. The new concept arose i.e about egg. Is Egg Veg or Non Veg ??

Well before it we must know these things -

Lacto - vegetarians - Consume vegetable fruits, Nor dairy nor animal product

Lacto - ovaveg - Consume dairy product and eggs

Non - Vegetarians' - not vegetarians

it is considered an egg is neither meat nor is it a veggie. An egg belongs in the dairy catagory.

ਅੰਡਜ ਜੇਰਜ ਉਤਭ੝ਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜੰਤਾ ॥
अंडज जेरज उतभढ़ज सेतज तेरे कीते जंता ॥
andaj jayraj ut-bhuj saytaj tayray keetay jantaa.
The beings born of eggs, born of the womb, born of the earth 
and born of  sweat, all are created by You.

Guru Arjan Dev

ਅੰਡ  ਬਿਨਾਸੀ  ਜੇਰ  ਬਿਨਾਸੀ  ਉਤਭ੝ਜ  ਸੇਤ  ਬਿਨਾਧਾ  ॥
अंड बिनासी जेर बिनासी उतभढ़ज सेत बिनाधा ॥
and binaasee jayr binaasee ut-bhuj sayt binaaDhaa.
Those born of eggs shall pass away, and those born of the womb 
shall pass away. Those born of the earth and sweat shall pass 
away as well.

ਚਾਰਿ ਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਖਟਹਿ ਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਇਕਿ ਸਾਧ ਬਚਨ ਨਿਹਚਲਾਧਾ ॥੨॥
चारि बिनासी खटहि बिनासी इकि साध बचन निहचलाधा ॥२॥
chaar binaasee khateh binaasee ik saaDh bachan nihchalaaDhaa. ||2||
The four Vedas shall pass away, and the six Shaastras shall pass 
away. Only the Word of the Holy Saint is eternal. ||2||

ਅੰਡਜ ਜੇਰਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਕੀਨੀ ॥ ਉਤਭ੝ਜ ਖਾਨਿ ਬਹ੝ਰਿ ਰਚਿ ਦੀਨੀ ॥੩੯੪॥
अंडज जेरज सेतज कीनी ॥ उतभढ़ज खानि बहढ़रि रचि दीनी ॥३९४॥
He created creatures from eggs, wombs and perspiration; 
then He created the vegetable kingdom.394.

-> Egg is considered a source of generation of human being and you are killing the source. You are disturbing nature.

-> Egg contains embro of featus, an unborn child. it means you are killing somebody.

-> Egg is lovable to their mother(may be bird or animal). you are destroying a bond before a child come out of it. If we do so with you then..............(Just think dont take it on heart)

Guru Nanak

ਜੀਆ ਮਾਰਿ ਜੀਵਾਲੇ ਸੋਈ ਅਵਰ੝ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਰਖੈ ॥
जीआ मारि जीवाले सोई अवरढ़ न कोई रखै ॥
jee-aa maar jeevaalay so-ee avar na ko-ee rakhai.
The Lord alone kills and restores to life; no one else 
can protect anyone from Him.

You are breaking or disturbing lords work.

Lords can kill or rejuvenate the organism.so why are you killig them you think that you are god??????

ਤੂ  ਮਾਰਿ  ਜੀਵਾਲਹਿ  ਬਖਸਿ  ਮਿਲਾਇ  ॥
तू मारि जीवालहि बखसि मिलाइ ॥
too maar jeevaaleh bakhas milaa-ay.
You kill and rejuvenate. You forgive and merge us into Yourself.

Read the following lines

ਮਨ੝  ਮਾਰੇ  ਧਾਤ੝  ਮਰਿ  ਜਾਇ  ॥
मनढ़ मारे धातढ़ मरि जाइ ॥
man maaray Dhaat mar jaa-ay.
When someone kills and subdues his own mind, his 
wandering nature is also subdued.

ਬਿਨ੝ ਮੂਝ ਕੈਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇ ॥
बिनढ़ मूझ कैसे हरि पाइ ॥
bin moo-ay kaisay har paa-ay.
Without such a death, how can one find the Lord? 

Guru Arjun Dev

ਜੋ  ਇਸ੝  ਮਾਰੇ  ਤਿਸ  ਕਉ  ਭਉ  ਨਾਹਿ  ॥
जो इसढ़ मारे तिस कउ भउ नाहि ॥
jo is maaray tis ka-o bha-o naahi.
One who kills this has no fear.

ਜੋ ਇਸ੝ ਮਾਰੇ ਸ੝ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਹਿ ॥
जो इसढ़ मारे सढ़ नामि समाहि ॥
jo is maaray so naam samaahi.
One who kills this is absorbed in the Naam.

ਜੋ ਇਸ੝ ਮਾਰੇ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਤ੝ਰਿਸਨਾ ਬ੝ਝੈ ॥
जो इसढ़ मारे तिस की तढ़रिसना बढ़झै ॥
jo is maaray tis kee tarisnaa bujhai.
One who kills this has his desires quenched.

ਜੋ ਇਸ੝ ਮਾਰੇ ਸ੝ ਦਰਗਹ ਸਿਝੈ ॥੨॥
जो इसढ़ मारे सढ़ दरगह सिझै ॥२॥
jo is maaray so dargeh sijhai. ||2||
One who kills this is approved in the Court of the Lord. ||2||
