In Gurmat, Deamons of Chandi Charitars are characters which have manmatt in their mind and which came in ground of Discussion of Wisdom and lost to Chandi(Gurmukh). Basically in Gurmat these Deamons are not any physical body but these all deamons are Formless and inside Human itself. These Deamons are based on Markandya Purana, Where Guru Gobind Singh changed defination of Chandi their defination of Deamons also changed. These all are Deamons of Mind(Mann de Rakshish). Let's Discuss what Deamons actually signifies in light of Gurmat.

  • Madhu Keetab : Madhu means Shahd(Sweet honey) and Keetab means Insect. A Person Mann(mind) is keetab and his Chitt/Heart is Madhu.
  • Mahisasura: The man which have mind like a Bull. He does not listen to Truth
  • Chand Mund : Chand Mund, Chand is Chitt(Chandeya hoya = Sach), Mund is Mann
  • Shumb Nishumb : Shumb is positive side and Nishumb is negative side.
  • RakatBeej : Rakatbeej is Bharam(Illusion), when some confusion is in ourself, it give birth to other confusion and so on.
  • DhumarLochan : Dhumar means Smoke and Lochan means Eyes, means whose sight is obscure who can't see Gurmat, the truth.

These are qualities of Human. When some preacher says that you just have to read gurbani with close eyes, without knowing truth of it then you are a Dhumar Lochan. When someone will try to explain you gurmat and you ignore all gurmat task then you are Mahisasura(like Bull).
