ਆਪੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਜ੝ਗਾਹਾ ॥ ਆਪੇ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਤਾੜੀ ਲਾਹਾ ॥ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਿ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤੈ ਆਪੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਓ੝ਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥1॥ ਆਪੇ ਦੀਪ ਲੋਅ ਦੀਪਾਹਾ ॥ ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗ੝ਰ੝ ਸਮ੝ੰਦ੝ ਮਥਾਹਾ ॥ ਆਪੇ ਮਥਿ ਮਥਿ ਤਤ੝ ਕਢਾਝ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮ੝ ਰਤਨ੝ ਓ੝ਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥2॥ ਸਖੀ ਮਿਲਹ੝ ਮਿਲਿ ਗ੝ਣ ਗਾਵਾਹਾ ॥ ਗ੝ਰਮ੝ਖਿ ਨਾਮ੝ ਜਪਹ੝ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਹਾ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਦ੝ਰਿੜੀ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ੝ ਓ੝ਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥3॥ ਆਪੇ ਵਡ ਦਾਣਾ ਵਡ ਸਾਹਾ ॥ ਗ੝ਰਮ੝ਖਿ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਨਾਮ੝ ਵਿਸਾਹਾ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਰਹ੝ ਪ੝ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਗ੝ਣ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ੝ ਓ੝ਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥4॥4॥10॥

sakhee milahu mil gun gaavaahaa || guramukh naam japahu har laahaa || har har bhagath dhrirree man bhaaee har har naam oumaahaa raam ||3||

aapae vadd dhaanaa vadd saahaa || guramukh poo(n)jee naam visaahaa || har har dhaath karahu prabh bhaavai gun naanak naam oumaahaa raam ||4||4||10||

Jaitsree, Fourth Mehla:

He Himself is the Yogi, and the way throughout the ages. The Fearless Lord Himself is absorbed in Samaadhi. He Himself, all by Himself, is all-pervading; He Himself blesses us with sincere love for the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||

He Himself is the lamp, and the Light pervading all the worlds. He Himself is the True Guru; He Himself churns the ocean. He Himself churns it, churning up the essence; meditating on the jewel of the Naam, sincere love comes to the surface. ||2||

O my companions, let us meet and join together, and sing His Glorious Praises. As Gurmukh, chant the Naam, and earn the profit of the Lord's Name. Devotional worship of the Lord, Har, Har, has been implanted within me; it is pleasing to my mind. The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, brings a sincere love. ||3||

He Himself is supremely wise, the greatest King. As Gurmukh, purchase the merchandise of the Naam. O Lord God, Har, Har, bless me with such a gift, that Your Glorious Virtues seem pleasing to me; Nanak is filled with sincere love and yearning for the Lord. ||4||4||10||

ਪਦਅਰਥ: ਆਪੇ—ਆਪ ਹੀ। ਜ੝ਗਾਹਾ—ਸਾਰੇ ਜ੝ਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ। ਤਾੜੀ—ਸਮਾਧੀ। ਨਾਮਿ—ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ (ਜੋੜ ਕੇ)। ਓ”੝ਮਾਹਾ—ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ, ਚਾਉ।੧।

ਦੀਪ—ਜਜ਼ੀਰੇ। ਲੋਅ—ਲੋਕ, ਭਵਨ {ਬਹ੝-ਵਚਨ}। ਦੀਪਾਹਾ—ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਮਥਾਹਾ—ਰਿੜਕਦਾ। ਮਥਿ—ਰਿੜਕ ਕੇ। ਤਤ੝—ਮੱਖਣ, ਅਸਲੀਅਤ।੨।

ਸਖੀ—ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਹੋ! ਮਿਲਿ—ਮਿਲ ਕੇ। ਗਾਵਾਹਾ—ਗਾਵੀਝ। ਗ੝ਰਮ੝ਖਿ—ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ। ਲਾਹਾ—ਲਾਭ। ਦ੝ਰਿੜੀ—ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੱਕੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮਨਿ—ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਭਾਈ—ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗੀ।੩।

ਦਾਣਾ—ਦਾਨਾ, ਸਿਆਣਾ। ਸਾਹਾ—ਸ਼ਾਹ। ਪੂੰਜੀ—ਸਰਮਾਇਆ। ਵਿਸਾਹਾ—ਖ਼ਰੀਦਦਾ। ਪ੝ਰਭ—ਹੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ! ਹਰਿ—ਹੇ ਹਰੀ!।੪।

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੋਗੀ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਜ੝ਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋਗ ਦੀ ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਭ ਥਾਂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।੧।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਜ਼ੀਰੇ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਵਨ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਸਾਰੇ ਭਵਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਚਾਨਣ ਹੈ। ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ) ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਇਸ ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ) ਰਿੜਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ (ਵਿਚਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ) ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ) ਰਿੜਕ ਰਿੜਕ (ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਿਚਾਰ) ਕੇ (ਇਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਮੱਖਣ (ਅਸਲੀਅਤ) ਲਭਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਰਤਨ ਵਰਗਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਪਣ ਦਾ) ਚਾਉ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।੨।

ਹੇ ਸਤਸੰਗੀਓ! ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਵੇ, ਆਓ, ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗ੝ਣ ਗਾਵੀਝ। ਹੇ ਸਤਸੰਗੀਓ! ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪੋ, (ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ) ਲਾਭ। ਜਿਸ ਮਨ੝ੱਖ ਨੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੱਕੀ ਬਿਠਾ ਲਈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗੀ, ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ) ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬੜਾ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਸਰਮਾਇਆ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰੋ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ! (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ) ਦਾਤਿ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼, ਜੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੱਸੇ, ਤੇਰੇ ਗ੝ਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਚਾਉ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ।੪।੪।੧੦।
