Bhai Desu, was a Sikh, Tarkhan (carpenter), of village Dina, in Moga District of Punjab. Guru Gobind Singh Ji (1666-1708) had arrived at Dina village, Bhai Desu Ji made a bed and after it was completed, he liked it so much that he himself didnt slept on that and left it for Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Master.

Guru Sahib expressed his wish to stay at Bhai Desu's House. When Guru Sahib reached Bhai Desu's house, he welcomed Guru Sahib and served with great devotion. Sangat started coming for darshan as they came to know about Guru Sahib's stay. While staying here and at Dyal Pura Bhai ka Guru Gobind Singh Ji wrote a letter to Aurangzeb Known as Zaffarnama Sahib in Sikh History. In Day time Guru Sahib used to spend time in Dense forest of Dyal Pura Bhai Ka. And in night Guru Sahib used to stay here at Bhai Desu Ji's House. From here only Guru Sahib sent that letter to Aurangzeb.
