Virse de Varis Nu is a 2009 Indian Film written and Directed by Satdeep Singh related to Sikh issues. It is Punjabi language Sikh film. It means To the heritor of Heritage. the movie covers the various issues of Sikh Youth. It is made by sikh Missionary College Production. The story is about a Sikh boy who is unaware of great history , culture and values of sikhi. suddenly one day he meets with an incident that changes his life. but after this change he is confronted with the cruel reality of the society. Tmovie tries to answers various questions and issues of our sikh youngsters which are creating obstacles to their path. It tries to show them the real picture. The main character Gursewak Singh is representing all youngsters.
The movie was produced, distributed and marketed by Sikh Missionary College, Ludhiana was shot in Pinjore, kalka, Ludhiana etc. Gurdwara Mehdiana Sahib is shown in the movie.
Summary
The Movie starts with gursewak Singh Sitting in office and a Young Man came for interview with beard cut and turban on head and name charanjit singh to whom Gursewak Singh narrated the whole incident of his life that how he was baptized and how he faced problems by guru's grace.
The movie opens at an earlier time when Gursewak was a Cap Wearing Sikh, who did not know about sikhi, he and his friends while on trip went to a gurdwara where they stayed a night and during that time Gursewak singh saw an old man lamenting before guru sahib about his son who cuts his hair. he was very angry with son and was weeping before guru about his wrong action. The words of the old man had touched Gursewak singh and stirred something in his inner soul, with a pain he couldn't understand he left his shimla tour, and started a very personal tour into his heart, in to the past of his ancestors.
Into the history of Sikhi. Mehdiana Sahib is shown and one more gurdwara is shown which changes his mind and he took amrit and return back home, bapitized. frmo here the movie starts what problems he faced after having amrit?
