It's true that Guru Gobind Singhji had only one marriage..Mata Jijoji and Mata Sundri are same and Sundri name was given to Mata Jitoji by mata Gujriji as this was Punjabi tradition of changing the name of female after marriage...

And for kind info.. Mata Sahib Kaurji's last rites were performed at Gurdwara bala Sahib Delhi not Mata Sundriji's .. Mata Sahib Kaur is known as Mother of Khalsa.... Also Granth Sahib was written on the instructions of first 5 Gurus and 9th Guru.. and not by any historians...

Jito and Sundri seperate personality

  • Both are seperate personalities, following are sources claims above, which i have studied, their must be many other sources having same claim. The sources are:
  1. Gur Partap Suraj granth by bhai Santokh Singh
  2. Twarikh Guru khalsa Giani Gian Singh
  3. Bansavalinama Dasan patshahiyan Ka by Kesar Singh Chibber
  4. Mahankosh By Kahn Singh nabha
  5. Encyclopedia of Sikhism by Harbas Singh of Patiala University
  6. Memorial related to marriage at Guru ka Lahore and sunder kaur at bajwara
  7. Memorial Related to Death of jito at Anandpur and sunder kaur at delhi
  • The assumption that name changed, by Gujar kaur, was some tradition is totally baseless. If it was culture then having more than one wives was also culture of the time. How many names were of guru's wives were changed? Mani singh had three mothers, (Mata Khivi was, called khivi before and after mariage, Mata Ganga was ganga before marriage too. WHy only this assumption put on with guru gobind singh?

The guys who wrote such histories were ignorant of this fact Amazing?
