Sodar

So Dar is part of the second main composition in the Sikh holy Scripture called the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The second composition called the Rehras is the evening prayer of the Sikhs. This second composition of the SGGS has two parts called the

• (1) "So Dar" and

• (2) "So Purkh".

The Bani "So Dar" contains 5 Shabads and So Purkh contains 4 Shabads. The evening prayer called the Rehras is followed by the Bani called Sohila (also called Kirtan Sohila), which is the third composition with the SGGS. It contains 5 Shabads and is the bed-time prayer.
