- 1. It is One of the five symbols of Sikh Identity, it conveys the idea that a Sikh is eternally hand-cuffed to ONE ABSOLUTE 'TRUTH' (GOD/GURU) consolidated in the Holy. The wearer is understood to have willfully accepted to stay a slave of GURU for the whole life and beyond .
