Gurus, Images and Statues: Difference between revisions

I am writing this topic for discussion...sorry for poor english

We have seen many Photographs/potraits showing guru's Their history. like today i have seen pic of Mata Gujri & Sahibzada Zorawar Singh & Sahibzada Fateh Singh. I know that is poet's imagination . I was Making Photograph Of Guru Har Rai And Bhai Kuram Singh related to Gurudwara Amb Sahib through my imagination(I know i am not that much pure to imagine) at that time a thing strikes in my mind that am i doing rite thing? Did our gurus allowed to make these pics?

Same thing strikes in my mind when My sister freind's give her statue of Guru Nanak Dev jee as gurus rejected these both concepts

I have find some lines in guru granth sahib

.....Kou Butan Ko pujat hai.... in twaparsad swaiyey

---tirath naaveh archaa poojaa agar vaas behkaar--- by guru nanak

bhoganhaaray bhogi-aa is moorat kay mukh chhaar--- by kabir

aap hee poojaaree aap hee dayvaa----by nanak jee

tora-o na paatee pooja-o na dayvaa-----by kabir jee

My mind strikes that Bhagat Dhanna Finds god in stone.

Well, saying about photographs these also acts as idol, i thought. Neither gurus nor their predessers at that time made their pics. they wrote their bani teach their bani.

One more concept arise, In many gurudwaras the idols of gurus which they left like Chola Saab, any ornamental etc also worshipped they show them like these are god well again i think idol worship concept begins

One last question isn't guru granth sahib an idol???
