Guru Nanak in Rajasthan

Guru Nanak Dev traveled through Rajasthan during his second Udasis (travels) southward across India. In his travel Guru Ji went to BIkaner, Ganganagar, Pushkar, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kolayat, Pokhraan and other places. The tour consisted of teachings to Jains. If we read history of miracles of Guru Sahib then we would get that guru ji never performed any miracles if they were unneeded.

Here guru ji performed miracle once when he produced sweet water in desert of Rajasthan and He also turned Kikar sweet when Mardana was hungry. Guru's trip to rajasthan was full of adventure and knowledge. He visited Ajmer Sharif, Pushkar Temple, Ramdevra Temple and other place in Rajasthan.

The places visited by Guru Nanak Sahib in Present Rajasthan included:

  1. Bikaner(Kolayat)
  2. Jaisalmer(Pokhran)
  3. Jodhpur
  4. Ajmer
  5. Pushkar
  6. Udaipur
  7. Chittorhgarh
  8. Jhalawar
  9. Nath Dwara

Acc. to Twarikh Guru khalsa, Guru Ji started Journey from Sultanpur and via these places he went to south but acc. to other sources Guru ji covered these places during his return journey

Mission

Guru Ji have many missions in this journey:

  1. To bring Jains on way to god
  2. To bring Gugapanthis to way to God
  3. To Bring Siddhas on way of God
  4. To stop worshiping of Samadhs.
  5. To visit all shrines of different sects and cults.
