Guru Nanak Dev traveled through Rajasthan during his second Udasis (travels) southward across India. In his travel Guru Ji went to BIkaner, Ganganagar, Pushkar, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kolayat, Pokhraan and other places. The tour consisted of teachings to Jains. Bikaner

Guru Ji visited Bikaner,Kolayat which was head centre of Jains also called Dhoondiyas. They used to cover their face and their habits were not good. Guru Ji reached Kolayat where Guru ji had discourse with Jains and made them their sikhs. Dhoondiyas think that by keeping face open and by bathing and urinating many organisms kill due to warmth in air, water and urine. So they cover their face and do not bath. They think by doing so they will be considered as sinful due to death of organisms. Even those people spread their urine on them and do not excrete on land because they think that organisms would kill due to urine and other excretions. They do not believe in God as creator and they think that human get salvation and become god.

Guru ji guided them that only god gives birth and he provide death, they are not contributing anything but Ego. So they should only stick to true name of god because if a person will give self torture to his body, god will not become happy he will be happy with good thinkings, good actions and reciting true name. By Putting water on body and reciting name ones body odour will be pleasant and he will feel fresh. By covering their face they are not saving other animals who are dying. So it's of no use. Their thinking is just for themselves, they think that they are saved from sin. Guru Ji had long discourse in which guru ji recited various shabads. All jains and their head bowed before guru and become gursikh. The essence of gurus teachings is present in his shabad:

The Lord alone kills and restores to life; no one else can protect anyone from Him.

They go without giving alms or any cleansing baths; their shaven heads become covered with dust.

The jewel emerged from the water, when the mountain of gold was used to churn it.

The gods established the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage, where the festivals are celebrated and hymns are chanted.

After bathing, the Muslims recite their prayers, and after bathing, the Hindus perform their worship services. The wise always take cleansing baths.

At the time of death, and at the time of birth, they are purified, when water is poured on their heads.

O Nanak, the shaven-headed ones are devils. They are not pleased to hear these words.

When it rains, there is happiness. Water is the key to all life.

When it rains, the corn grows, and the sugar cane, and the cotton, which provides clothing for all.

When it rains, the cows always have grass to graze upon, and housewives can churn the milk into butter.

With that ghee, sacred feasts and worship services are performed; all these efforts are blessed.

The Guru is the ocean, and all His Teachings are the river. Bathing within it, glorious greatness is obtained.

Guru ji replied that what you guys do is just show off and you do nimaz for show off. Your heart is not in nimaz your mind is somewhere else so all this is showoff. if you read true nimaz you all will be liberated. Muslims asked what are you saying. to which guru ji replied:
