Gurdwara Lakhpat Sahib
Gurdwara Pehli Patshahi is situated a LAKHPAT (India) - A town in Gujrat, visited by Guru Nanak Sahib during his first missionary journey. Gurdwara Guru Nanak Sahib has been built to preserve the memory of the visit of Guru Sahib. Guru Nanak is believed to have visited this site while he was on his way to Mecca. Few of his relics are retained here.
In the Course of Guru Nanak Dev ji's Travels (Udasis) Guru Nanak Dev ji visited Gujarat and onto Lakhpat. In old times Lakhpat was past of Sind (Now in Pakistan). Lakhpat is 170 Kms from Gandhidham, Gujarat (India). In sixteen century it was known as "Basta Bander".
Lakhpat used to be rice growing area and was a popular port also, but due to Earthquake of 1819 A.D., the area became barren and crops withered away for want of water because river disappeared.
To commorate the visit of Lakhpat by Guru Nanak Dev ji, a Gurudwara was built in the early years of Nineteenth Century and a vast tract of land was bestowed to Gurudwara to make up expenses for maintenance and to look after the visitors, from the revenue from the land and the crops grown there. Lakhpat is about 20 Km from KORIANI village where there is a big Srover in memory of the visit by Guru Nanak Dev ji. From Lakhpat Guru crossed to SONMIANI port in Sind for going to MECCA MADINA (Saudi Arabia).
Gurdwara Sahib
Present Condition in the later part of twentieth century, some Sikh families had settled near about Lakhpat and other parts of Kutch, Specially at Gandhidham, being the Port-city of Kandla port, which was built in the year 1952. In the wake of independence of India in the year 1947. Lot many Sindhi's were settled in Kutch from earstwhile Sind Province, sindhi had been devotees of Guru Nanak Dev ji and they with the co-operation of the Sikh's built a Gurudwara at Gandhidham and this Gurudwara management along with a sindhi fellow settled at Lakhpat, were looking after Lakhpat Shrine.
Guru Nanak Dev ji stayed at Lakhpat to & fro whist traveling to Mecca Madina (Saudi Arabia). The place served as a seat of the Udasi Sect.
There are Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji's "charan Paduka" - KHADAVAS at Gurudwara Shri Lakhpat Sahibji.
At present the "sewa" for building up Yatri Niwas, Langar hall, Diwal Hall is being taken up by Shri Baba Lakkha Singh ji - Baruch.

UNESCO Award to Gurudwara
For the people of Lakhpat, Kutch, there was a reason to celebrate. The Gurudwara has bagged the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Conservation Award for the year 2004.
The award comprises a scroll and a trophy which goes to CRCI (Cultural Resources Conservation Initiative).
The Archaeological Survey of India, the State Department of Archaeology. United Nations Development Programme and United Nations Volunteers supported the Conservation programme which took seven months for restoration, as the Gurudwara was damaged during 1998 cyclone in Gujarat and January 2001 earthquake in Gurjarat.
