Anhad - The man on mission is the title of a forthcoming book by Akashdeep S Batth. Anhad as the name itself defines is a Superhero who has come to the Earth to eradicate evil by all possible means, with the teachings of the Holy Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He was found in a village Kotli an imaginative place. He grows up into a fantastic, handsome, tall and also becomes perfect GATKA (Sikh martial arts) player which he learned from his Father Amrik Singh. The story then takes up many turns and many trageic incidents occur in Anhad's life. He struggles, goes through tough times and tests of his life. And thus one day, a 17 year old becomes a Superhero......

Anhad (2011) is a maiden fiction work by a budding novelist Akashdeep S Batth from Punjab. The book carries an inspirational message for the younger generation. The plot and structure of book is well-knit and episodic. The narrative has been told in objective and omniscient manner. The reader will find one or two episodes rather fantastic in nature, which lends the colour of ‘Magic realism’ to this fiction. The diction of the piece is quite easy to comprehend and rather colloquial. The Gurmukhi words have been used repeatedly in the book.
Reason behind this book
"I have read many jokes on Sardars, one can find them all on Internet or many may be having them saved in their mobile phones as text messages. I want to stop this. I believe that fiction can kill fiction, so to kill the image of the fictitious funny characters which are represented as sardar's, I wanted to make a fictitious Sikh superhero and that is what i have done in this book. It is not a religious fiction. It is for all sects and communities of the world. I hope that reader's will appreciate this thought. Looking for the best.
